This morning' I awoke with a Song upon My Lips.
It made no allowances,
For the intricacies of morning matters and chatters.
It simply rung out with a sweetness,
So loud
From whence it came,
I know not.
But what I do know,
Tis' was not there;
When I lay me down to sleep.
In its' absence, was Noise and Confusion;
Sadness and Disillusion
No Song
But, this morning I awoke with a Song upon My Lips.
It came with such an urgency.
A sense of purpose.
Composed of melodies unknown,
Whispered Truths between every line and verse
Yes! a Song.
It made no allowances,
For the intricacies of morning matters and chatters.
It simply rung out with a sweetness,
So loud
From whence it came,
I know not.
But what I do know,
Tis' was not there;
When I lay me down to sleep.
In its' absence, was Noise and Confusion;
Sadness and Disillusion
No Song
But, this morning I awoke with a Song upon My Lips.
It came with such an urgency.
A sense of purpose.
Composed of melodies unknown,
Whispered Truths between every line and verse
Yes! a Song.
